Why My Current Obsessions Make The Perfect Friday Night
If you know me you know that I love getting dressed up and going out - but more than that, I love staying in. I am unapologetically a home body at heart! So it’s no surprise that my current favourite things would make up the perfect Friday night at home (and no, I didn’t plan it this way when I started to write about my favourite items and products!).
I am currently loving face masks from Sephora. Seriously, it’s the most cost effective way to get a facial and feel absolutely refreshed, and when you haven’t slept through the night in over two years looking refreshed is important - even when you don’t feel it. I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love soft, smooth skin - especially during the awful, dry winter months.
Right now I am obsessed with t-shirts and leggings, or as I like to affectionately refer to as my “leisure” clothes. Seriously though, I look forward everyday to coming home, putting on my stretchy clothes and playing with my son. Bonus, once I’m ready to head back to the gym I’ll have to most perfect wardrobe to keep me motivated!
Although the term “Netflix and chill” has taken on a different meaning, I actually love to watch Netflix and CHILL - as in turn my brain off and do nothing. I think it’s a mom thing , I mean who has the energy for anything else after a long day of work, dinner and bedtime routines? If you happen to be looking for a new show to watch my current fav shows are Working Moms, The Good Place, The Blacklist, (obviously Friends) and Shark Tank. I actually love watching Shark Tank with my husband. We watch the different pitches and then shake our heads, roll our eyes and say “You’re going to regret that!” when ideas are sent away - because you know, we definitely know more than the millionaires and billionaires on the show (obviously).
Snacks. I love snacking! Given the choice of snacking and eating a meal I will always choose snacking! My current fav snacks are Smartfood popcorn and diet coke. Okay health nuts, save me all your reasons why they aren’t good for me, I’m well aware, but I cannot get enough! And yes, I ration and limit and my overall consumption, so that makes it okay, right?…. Right?! I’m glad we agree.
I guess if you put everything I listed above together you would have a pretty amazing cozy Friday night at home (now I just have to find someone who wants to come watch my son and put him to bed for me, any takers?).
